Our story

New York Biltong is a gourmet South African grocer located in the heart of the West Village in New York City. Our specialty is custom, fresh cut Biltong, as well as all your favorite South African sausages (droëwors & boerewors), homemade meat pies, snacks and beer. 

It all started over eight years ago when co-founder Camran St. Luce found his passion for Biltong, a South African cured meat that’s better than jerky. It was love at first taste! Camran soon became an expert and launched a pre-pack biltong business. Within five years, he transformed the business into a successful, full-service biltong shop known as Jonty Jacobs, with locations in NYC and San Diego. Today, inspired by his daughter Audrey, Camran and co-founder Brittney Brothers are proud to bring you New York Biltong.

We work only with licensed suppliers, many of whom have spent generations perfecting their family recipes, who demonstrate our values for high standards and integrity.
